Being willing to be willing is one of the hardest concepts to recognize when I was working on change. Of course the change that I am referring to is "spiritual change". We can become entangled within our own web of truths which sometimes are not true, but myths that live within our own reality. Awakening to the truth and being able to recognize the "false truth" is not always easy. I suggest at first you become willing to be willing to change and ask in your daily prayers that your guides give you some direction here. Following is my example of my journey when dealing with falsehoods about myself and after quite a few years seizing the "bull by the horns" learning to make the choice to change my own behavior of erroneous behaviors that led to ill health.
So, when I was about 13 years of age I injured my knee while ice skating. Of course I was attempting that which I had no business doing, but isn't that always typical kid? I was left with a torn ligament and forced to be on crutches for about 8 weeks. All went well, but I ignored the physical therapy part of the equation and like all teen agers used the excuse to get out of physical education at school to not exercise. It worked and I used that little excuse for 50 some odd years. I was even convinced that my knees were permanently damaged. Then all "hell" broke loose with my health starting with an innocent jar of peanut butter landing on my right foot and breaking a bone. Next was what is called the rotation cuff and using my right arm was impossible. I begin to fret, and finally turned to prayer for guidance. I was not going to use the medical profession as surgery for me can be dangerous at best and always not the best solution. Not to mention that the whole insurance game in the United States is crazy at best. So, I begin the search for chiropractic help. Then the message came along with a great chiropractor that physical exercise would or could help the arm. Not to mention that use of my legs was in such decline that I was unable to lift my body out of a simple chair. This was a gloomy time for me.......But the awakening bells went off and I realized that this little lady here needed physical therapy and exercise in the worst way. I could no longer face the falsehood that this was just the way it was, I knew that the body could heal itself and I had ignored all of the signs.
I have recovered about 75% of the use of my arm and equally the pain has diminished about equally as well. I can go sometimes all day without focusing on the pain. I am amazed how my denial and the false "truth" that remained hung around me until I was ready. This concept of false truth can remain with us for a lifetime until we are ready to make better choices. Prayer plays an important part with all of this "mud bog" of denial. When we ask for help it is always there and ready to serve us well. Our spirit guides and yes we all have them are always around to assist us and keep us moving forward within the spiritual cycle of life. To deny this "truth" that I use is possibly the biggest mistake that we all make. We believe that "we" are the only beings and are totally alone in life. Yes, we are alone, but think about it.......your spirit "guides" are always there for the asking.
