I grew up thinking that God was behind some judgment table punishing me continually for my bad deeds. It took a lifetime for me to understand that I was doing all of this myself and creating havoc upon myself, as I stumbled throughout life. It was not until at about 27 years of age did I begin to search for the truth of it all. This journey has taken a lifetime for me to completely understand, but if you are willing to spend some time thinking about what I am trying to say, then you too can totally change your life and your surroundings around you. This is a journey that all of us will eventually take so forgive yourself if this subject tends to bore you, it must just not be your time..
The God of my understanding gives all of us choice and for this reason alone is one reason why we deal with two energies on earth. We send out messages to ourselves and others that may or may not be good to do. All energy does not go anywhere but return to the source who sent it in the first place. Therefore, positive energy will return as will negative. Some of us can not tell the difference. Helping someone else and telling them how to solve their problems may be a negative rather than a positive. An example of this is a parent doing a child's homework so that he will not fail. Another example is giving a drug addict money and going on without understanding that he is only buying more drugs. This is also a negative. That addict is on the street for a reason, it is up to him to find his pathway to God, and not determined upon your decision to hand over money. People have not usually been put on the street, but rather made decisions in their lifetime that landed street duty. This is a form of "time out" to figure what is needed to do next. Whether this "needy soul" can be helped first depends upon his willingness to want to change his life. Too often, we run around fixing others so that our ego will feel better. This is not positive energy. The lesson is to wait until that person is ready, or better yet, send a prayer via God to help him solve his problem. Now, that is positive energy. Also, do not judge why he is in the predicament that he has made......YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT HE HAS BEEN THROUGH. Therefore, do not judge the behavior. Silently try blessing him for his journey and allowing him to be.
Changing the mind is a difficult task as we have adopted many false truths from our parents. In a peculiar sense of fate, these "truths" actually are some of our spiritual lessons. Did it ever occur to you that what they, (the parents) did to you, you did to them in a previous lifetime? Think about this.........I do not know for sure, but it looks that way to me as cycles within families tend to repeat themselves. Why not try thanking your parents for your life, and your lessons, and get on with the journey of living a better way.
It took me a long while to realize that the tiny spark of energy within me was from the God source, and if I nurtured this energy with service to others, truth, love, and companionship as well as compassion, I just might turn my little existence around and have a better life. This is a practice that takes time to develop because on a daily basis, I can revert to the inner child and pick up bad behavior by the load. This way of life, brings illness to my cellular structure or my body, and harms others. To change, start first with your thinking about others and bless them. Don't feed gossip as you were not there to judge the whole picture. And certainly understand the solution is up to God now you.
Soon you will reap a better group of souls around you, better friendships, and a more harmonious lover that actually cares about you. Have a great day and all of you are blessed.
